Watch a 2020 Ford Tremor Pull a Semi Truck with a Winch! (Video)

You may already know that a new 2020 Ford Super Duty comes in a Tremor off-road trim. This is an off-road heavy duty package that makes for the most off-road capable Super Duty from the factory. Ford is turning up the heat with an introduction of a winch option for the 2020 Tremor-equipped trucks.

The Tremor package brings with it a suspension lift, unique suspension and shock tuning, rear locker, front limited slip differential, skid plates, 35-inch Duratrac all-terrain tires, and more.

A winch was not initially available, but Ford worked with Warn to package and test a 12,000 lbs Zeon unit. The winch is only safety certified for the Tremor truck with its unique ride height. The winch is available on all F-250 and F-350 Tremor trucks, including the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 and 7.3-liter gas V8 engines. The winch is not available on new Ford one-ton F-350 and F-450 dually trucks that are equipped with a maximum towing package. These trucks have additional cooling requirements.

The Tremor winch comes with both a wired and a remote/wireless control. The winch utilizes a synthetic line to improve packaging and decrease weight. Ford says the winch and mount add about 150 lbs to the front of the truck.

The Tremor winch option costs $3,000, and it will be available as a factory option or a dealer-installed accessory for Tremor trucks in mid-2020. Once these arrive, the Ram Power Wagon will no longer be the only production truck with an optional winch from the factory.
