Here are a couple of new images of a 2021 Ford F-150 prototype driving on the highway. This one appears to have a towing package with large towing mirrors. Is this prototype hiding a 2.7-liter turbo-gas V6, a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6, and a good-old 5.0-liter Coyote V8? Or is it a gas/electric hybrid? Here are some more details about the leaked (unofficial) 2021 Ford F-150 engine specs.

2021 Ford F-150
As we have already reported, there is a recent information leak that has to do with a VIN decoding document of the new 2021 F-150 truck. This unofficial document lists six engine choices that will be available in the upcoming new F-150.
- 3.3-liter V6 with 290 horsepower
- 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 with 325 horsepower
- 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower
- 5.0-liter V8 with 395 horsepower
- 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 with TBD horsepower
- NEW 3.5L HEV V6 Hybrid with TBD horsepower
If this is true, then the four engines with listed power ratings remain basically unchanged for 2021. All of the power ratings are the same as they have been.
The continuation of the 5.0-liter coyote V8 is very welcome. Many sources reported that the engine is either being discontinued or replaced by a smaller displacement V8.
If you were hoping for a 7.3-liter godzilla V8 in the 2021 F-150. This appears not to be the case, at least unofficially.
The 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V6 is listed at TBD, which means Ford may be working to increase the power. The power currently stands at 250 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. Ram’s 3.0-liter diesel is rated higher at (260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque). GM’s 3.0-liter diesel is also higher at (277 hp and 460 lb-ft).
The new 3.5L HEV V6 hybrid’s total power is also currently unknown, but it may be higher than 500 horsepower. This may just be the most powerful F-150 ever. Currently, the high-output 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 in the Raptor produces 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. If electric power is added to this, the resulting power may be way higher.
