Did The Ford F-150 Tremor Just Completely Outshine The Ram Rebel?

How does the new Ford F-150 Tremor off-road truck stack against some of its competitors such as the Ram Rebel? I put them side-by-side to find out.

The Ram Rebel off-road truck has been around for nearly three years. When it first came out as a 2019 model, it had the equipment to stand above the F-150 FX4, Chevy Silverado Z71, and some others. Chevrolet and GMC followed up with the Trail Boss and AT4 off-road trucks in 2020.

Naturally, there are also the Nissan PRO-4X and the Toyota TRD Pro trucks in this space as well. Ford’s latest F-150 Tremor joins the lineup and slots between the F-150 FX4 and the F-150 Raptor trucks in terms of capability and available equipment.

While the Ram Rebel and the Chevy Trail Boss come in a variety of configurations and with optional powertrains, the F-150 Tremor can only be had as a crew cab 4×4 with a 5.5-ft bed and the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine. The latest 3.5-liter EcoBoost is rated at 400 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. This is comparable to the V8 engines from its competition.

While the starting price of the F-150 Tremor is $51,200 after destination charges, the truck with nearly every option that you see in this comparison has an MSRP of $68,005. Yes, this is already stepping into the F-150 Raptor price territory.
