INCREASED PERFORMANCE

The capacity of the radiator and the efficiency of the radiator core are both increased in CSF’s new 5th generation 4Runner high-performance radiator to address potential heat soak and overheating issues.

Any concerns about overheating have been addressed by CSF by using its patented B-Tube Technology and expanding the core from a tiny 1-row 22mm core to an incredibly efficient 2-row 42mm core. The transmission oil cooler in the bottom tank has been given more capacity by CSF in order to keep transmission temperatures under control, especially when towing. This will help keep transmission temperatures under control.

MAXIMUM DURABILITY

With its new 5th generation Toyota 4Runner All Aluminum Heavy-Duty Radiator, CSF has responded to the demand for greater performance and durability. This is the ideal upgrade and defense against the flimsy OEM radiator with plastic end tanks.

To get cars and trucks off the assembly line and onto the road, it makes sense to produce OEM plastic/aluminum radiators in large quantities. However, these radiators have many limitations, especially when drivers drive their SUVs and trucks off-road or in harsh conditions. After a while, excessive heat cycles, heavy vibration, or extreme pressures and temperatures (including cold starts in freezing temperatures) can cause the plastic tanks to become brittle and eventually crack or burst.

CSF’s 100% TIG welded all-aluminum end tanks prevent potential leakage when compared to the weaker plastic tanks that utilize a rubber gasket and a crimp design to seal.

HEAT SOAK ISSUES = SOLVED

Heat soak is a typical problem in such off-road activities. The majority of off-road trails, particularly those that require rock crawling and hill climbing, are typically driven at extremely low speeds with high engine output. Drivers may become stranded in the middle of the desert or on a remote trail without access to help as a result of the engine and transmission overheating.
