While Whipple’s record-breaking S550 supercharger system, which holds the title of being the most potent, most cutting-edge supercharger system available, broke many regulations and set numerous records, we weren’t satisfied and chose to design an entirely new supercharger from the ground up. The brand-new Generation 5 3.0L front feed twin-screw supercharger is part of the revolutionary, direct, and port-injected supercharger system. This brand-new Gen 5 supercharger, which should not be confused with the Gen 3 or 4, offers industry-leading efficiency from idle to redline. The new supercharger spins faster, longer, and safer while creating more power than any previous positive displacement supercharger ever created thanks to entirely redesigned bearings, gears, rotors, and housing.

Additionally, the 2018 has an intercooler that is much bigger than the previously enormous Whipple Cooler, which cooled the Ford Cobra Jets and all the record-breaking S550 Mustangs. You get greater power with lower boost levels and quicker recovery times after vigorous operation when you combine this with the leading heat exchanger, water reservoir, and intercooler pump in the industry.

Whipple engineers have created a special PCM calibration that reconfigures all essential engine operations, including fuel, spark, knock detection, torque management, gearbox control, and electronic throttle control, based on years of OEM and racing experience. To maintain the engine in its ideal conditions, the PCM of the car continuously monitors the torque output of the engine along with many other factors. The PCM will reduce boost and torque production if a parameter is out of specification until the issue is resolved. This technology, which is unique in the calibrating industry, gives the Whipple SC system previously unheard-of performance and dependability. Every Whipple kit includes specialized software and an OBDII flash tool, enabling the client to flash or update anytime necessary. The new Flight Control Software, the option to change the wheel/axle size, the octane adjustment, the crank/cam relearn, and many other special features are also provided to every customer.
