With the carefully designed X-pipe, SwitchPathTM lets the Braptor’s 3.0TT always produce a distinctive soundtrack that is both satisfying and clean. The EcoBoost exhaust note sounds the best it has ever done.
With SwitchPath™, you can force the tier 1 OEM-supplied valve to open by using the customizable on-board button, or it can be left open as with a factory exhaust. The valve opens when the specified throttle threshold is reached. When traveling on a highway or when it’s cold outside, close the valve; otherwise, leave it open. Because of the high-flowing nature of the exhaust design, the sound difference between valve positions won’t be very noticeable. Its main purpose is to allow maximum comfort on the highway or to quiet down when necessary. To keep the ECU happy, SwitchPathTM includes an extra-machined aluminum valve bracket to fit the unused factory valve.
Crafted from 3” CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-sourced .065”-wall T304L stainless steel, SwitchPath™ features dual BashGuards™ thick reinforced stainless rings on the outlets to prevent collapsing if you catch them on an obstacle. They sit well above the tow hooks, higher than the factory, and well out of the way of danger—we like performance with peace of mind.
